PRISM prides itself on being an organization that primes college students for post-grad success. By presenting opportunities for strategic thinking and problem solving, PRISM equips these future leaders with the experiences and skills that will allow them to thrive wherever their careers take them. Nothing is a better testament to this than our impressive lineup of successful alumni.

Since the first group of PRISMites graduated from Virginia Tech, we have been amazed to watch an incredible alumni network unfold before our eyes. As each class has bid farewell to the Blacksburg campus, they have quickly gone on to do amazing things all over the world, which is why we proudly boast our lasting relationships with these PRISM alumni who continuously share resources and mentorship to our members.

As we celebrated the 10 year anniversary of PRISM, we were thrilled to announce a new way to engage with our alumni. *Cue drumroll.* Introducing: the PRISM Alumni Advisory Council (PRAAC).

“Our mission is to engage alumni in a mutually beneficial partnership that generates meaningful connections and strengthens the PRISM community,” the executive team explained in the initial statement of expectations for the PRAAC. “We hope to foster a community built on today’s creatives, strategists, and analysts guiding the next generation of marketing mavens.”

The five key initiatives of PRAAC are:

  1. Career Development

  2. Senior Job Placement

  3. Scholarship

  4. Long Term Startegy of PRAAC

  5. Diversity and Inclusion

We assembled a team of nine alumni to serve on the inaugural PRISM Alumni Advisory Council, which became the newest addition to the lineup of official Pamplin advisory boards. We have been able to grow the board to 11 members over the past two years. Activities of the PRAAC include assisting current members in career development, organization enhancement, and the establishment of the PRISM Simply The Best Scholarship. This board is be co-led by PRISM’s Patrick Kampfmueller (‘16) and Kelsey Stoner (‘20), joined by current alumni advisor Michael Vitak (‘17), Brett Simone (‘15), Briana Augenreich (‘15) , Tara Petrucci (‘12), Robbie Ashton (‘16), Sandy Bass (‘12), Sara Goforth (‘15), and Katie Czerwonka (‘13). Each of these members serve a two-year term on the council.

Let’s meet the PRAAC!
